Radio static

The sc901 in my 960 has developed a very annoying *slight* whine and static. It only does it when the car is ON, and mainly when i accelerate, and at 45-50MPH. It does it whether I am listening to the radio, or a CD and doesn’t go away even when the volume is all the way down. It’s connected to a 200 watt amp and the Dolby Prologic Module. I have had the radio for awhile now and this is the first issue i’ve had with whining. any help or input is appreciated.

Put transmission in first gear, and find out what RPM brings about noise.
