After years of waiting I finally have my first 1800. This is Volvo #6 for me, my first being a PV544, and several 245 wagons. This car has been cared for by the same person for the last 20 years and it works well. There are issues of course and I'll work my way down the list over time.
I do most of my own wrenching and usually enjoy it.
Both front seats are held in place by hose clamps. My first repair will be this situation so I'm trying to get up to speed on the seat track assembly. What seems to be missing is some sort of ball bearing thingie that locks the upper and lower seat tracks together and allows the seats to move forward and back freely.
My goal: seats that are safely anchored and move freely.
66 1800 seats
