Brake fluid leaking

Post by kaverryan »

A new leak on my '06 S60 T5 manual (71,000 miles). I have determined it is brake fluid. Below is a photo of the point that leaks. It's from some type of vent hole between the engine and the trans. I can only think it's coming from above and just showing up there. Where would you look first?

Some time ago a warning light came on that said "Anti Skid Service Required" but the went out and has not come back. I'm now getting a low brake fluid warning for obvious reasons.

Usually clutch slave cylinder leak.
Check if master cylinder level is going down to assure that its the slave.

If so plan for $2000 repair bill and 3-7 days without car .

If you have a warranty bring the car immediately. The clutch plate will be ruined by the fluid.
