There is no Haynes book for the 2004 Volvo, manual is no help, I would like to replace the cabin filter without having to trek 4 hours 'round trip to the dealer (plus service time & cost) to replace it. It must be fairly simple as I perform the replacement on other vehicles in our stable. Any suggestions on how to attack this dilemma?

P2 filters are accessed by removing the glovebox, pretty easy

or without removing the glovebox, laydown on the passenger side floor looking up and remove the screws that hold the plastic cover.
Remove the cover then slide the old filter out and replace with new one.

I found the cabin filter replacement info on this site and figured it out (it had pictures). Two 25 Torx screws for cover and then 4 more for filter access; the back 2 were hard to reach so used a hex wrench instead of the torx. All is well. Sorry for the freshman question. I've performed so much car work over the years that I just got lazy when it came to this plus for some reason I chose a winter day to perform the work. Aaauurrgh.
Thank you.
