Hello, I have a 2001 volvo s60 2.5 turbo and for a couple of weeks it would start but run ruff and acted like it didn't have any power. And it would only go about 20mph. Twice I stopped it and after a few hours it would start and run fine for a week or so and then do it agian. Now it has stayed running ruff and will only go about 20mph. Somone said it may be the mass air flow. Does anyone have any ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Buy a can of CRC mass airflow cleaner - should be available at any auto parts store. Disconnect the sensor from the airbox, there will be two Torx T-25 screws holding it in. Spray the insides (don't touch anything) and let it dry for a few hours, then reconnect it.

It may be your ETM (sounds like it) and if this is a LATE delivery it may still be in warranty 10 years 200K miles from in service date
You do not have a 2.5T, in 2001 it is a 2.4T
Read "Don's ETM room" threads at the top of these forums.
I doubt it's your MAF it sounds like the throttle body
As was asked, any check engine lights?

Thanks for the replies! The check engine light is on. What is the emt? Is it expensive? I had to replace the turbo about three weeks before this started happening. The warning center also says no oil pressure, but it is not running hot and the oil seems to be circulating fine. Also, sorry it is a 2.4 turbo. Again any imput is appreciated!!

Yes it transfers
I sure hope you're not driving it with a low pressure oil light on!
