I have check engine codes on a 1999 volvo s80 t6:
1332 CVVT Solenoid
1132 Bank 1 o2 sensor
Could one be causing the other?
What should i replace first?
Is the Bank 1 o2 sensor easy to replace? Can I do it myself?
My car experiences hesitation when cold during acceleration and has acceleration surges. It seems to have a varying idle around 1700 and 2000 rpms occasionally. It is averaging about 17 MPG and has a rich smell out the exhaust.
Any suggestions for causes?

Sounds like ignition coil and O2 sensor. Yes, replace at least the coil, then clear the codes and see if the O2 returns again. If it does, replace it with a oxygen sensor tool removal attached to 3/8 ratchet or extension that has a open slot. Check out IPD above ad, and look at their O2 sensor tool so you will have an idea. And yes, you can do it yourself.

I replaced a coil on the fourth cylinder and it stopped the misfiring, but it seems that the engine is not getting the proper mixture of fuel/air. I was told this could be caused by both the CVVT being stuck and a faulty O2 sensor.
I'm going to replace the CVVT this week, clear the codes, and then see what happens to the O2 sensor code.
thanks

I second that. The O2 sensor is not cheap, but if need to replace it, make darn sure it is the OEM (Bosch) with the correct numbers. No aftermarket for this baby.
