'77 245 stalled and won't start
I have a '77 245... the other night as I was driving it suddenly stopped running. I came back to the car today and couldn't get it to start up. The fuel pumps were both running fine at first, but after much tinkering today we noticed that they were no longer coming on. To make matters worse there is also no spark and only 8volts on the coil(which is the same reading we get at the yellow wire in the rear of the car running to the pumps that no longer turn on. The fuel pump relays were clicking at the on position and on full crank. Now there is a VERY rare click in the on position and a sporadic click when engaging the ignition. The battery is brand new, just bought it today... I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. Obviously no spark should be and is my first concern, but it seems as though there must some correlation between the coil and the pumps/relays both acting wonky. HELP!

You have a new battery which should give a reading of at least 12 volts over its terminals. Check this and if you do have 12 volts + do a very close inspection of the battery leads. They have a tendency to fail inside the connectors. Also check and clean the body where the earth (ground) lead connects to it.
