Hi just bought a 2009 2.5t xc90.
Seems like a versatile car for my new family!
The car has 17k miles on it.
I am about to give it a major service at the dealer - which I think is oil and filters.
Should I consider doing anything else whilst it's in?, such as transmission fluid, brake fluid or anything else?
Also anyone aware of things I should keep an eye out on this car which are known bugs?
Also is the 2.5t also referred to as t5?
Thanks
Phil (British in HK)

Welcome to Matthews Volvo Site
2.5T and T5 are different in how much power they produce. Trans fluid can be an issue as early as 30K miles. The use of premium synthetic fluids in the engine and trans will help the car serve you well. I have seen issues with the front and rear differentials not having a quality lube that will protect the gears/bearings from rusting.
Also the engine ,(sometimes the trans) and the front and rear differentials are without magnetic plugs from the factory. replacing them will help you catch the metal frag that can shorten the life on any vehicle's drive system.
Make sure to use higher octane fuel especially in hot weather.
