B5234T motor: low pressure or high?

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

A b5234t is a high-pressure turbo motor. 2.3L T5 engine.

Those are for the old 80's redblock 4-cylinder engines.

A popular upgrade with the turbo motors is to put NA (non-turbo) cams in them.

I'm confused. You already have a T5. The ECU is the same for every turbo model 850...whether it's called a T5 or a Turbo.

There's lots of good information from you here on a forum where they really mod their cars more than MVS people.

The 850 "R" models had 240 hp, yes...and that WAS just an ECU thing, along with a different exhaust manifold.

If you're looking for just more HP, the best steps would be:
-Exhaust
-NA Cams
-ECU tune (on your existing ECU)

I'd probably recommend an auxilary transmission cooler as well. Everyone tends to forget about the poor transmissions when they go looking to up power on their cars. There's several other "performance upgrade" tidbits you can add here and there, but I have no idea how great the power gains are. Probably very modest if anything. Those include things like a reverse intercooler setup, silicone hoses, cold air intake...
