Keeping rpms up so transmission engages
Keeping rpms up so transmission engages
When coming out of slow turns in XC90 V8, the gas pedal must be punched to re-engage the transmission so the car resumes forward progress. I have never had a vehicle before (35 years driving) that lost RPMs so quickly and did not allow coast through turn and again out with this lag. Anyone else experience this sensation?

Sounds like the stabillity control system is mistakenly sensing the beginnings of a roll, and throttling back.

That's an interesting theory. I would hate to think that the stability control could be so sensitive. I'm talking about a real slow turn at about 10 miles an hour. Can this feature be turned off to test, I think there is a toggle switch that controls this safety feature? Thanks

I don't know. According to this review you can't disable it:

This says you can partially disable it:

I'd look in the owners' manual or call the dealer you bought it from... don't be pushy, but try to make it their problem and see what they say.
