Hi all,
I was just completing a mod to wire a stereo input jack into my HU-613, piggybacking into the tape deck signal. That worked great (separate post to come).
But while doing that I turned the car on several times for testing etc without the CCM connected. Of course the windows and remote etc did not work.
Once I reconnected everything, everything worked perfectly but now when I started the car I got an SRS Service Urgent message.
I am thinking its related.
Thoughts and suggestions please.

Did you disconnect/reconnect the battery 'by the book' or only removed fuses?
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

Try first the old-school trick by disconnecting the battery and then re-connecting it after an hour or so, but first please read and follow the manual for each part of the excercise.
If the above does not help, it may still be possible to read and clear the codes at Autozone (they usually say they are not allowed to reset anything, but try); if the codes are SRS-related (which apparently is the case) you may need a proprietary scan tool like a Scantech or VIDA DiCE environment.
Attached procedure (for "just in case")
Cheers

Is a tool that will last a lifetime to care for your volvo, and by the way, it will turn off that pesky SRS light

I just had this happen to me when I disconnected the radio as I was replacing the mini light bulbs in the dash(replaced them with some blue, red & also some UV LED bulbs( from www.autolumination.com). I sent for a reset tool from FCP Groton, am expecting it any day now. Will repost once I receive it & use it to reset mine on an '01 V70. It list for $169.00 but I had a coupon code which brought it down to $143.00...I'll keep ya posted...
