Windshield Wiper Arm ( Passenger side)

Hi guys,

Today it started to rain so i turned on my wipers as most people would.
The drivers side wiper swept across just fine but the pass side wiper didn't move up the window, it was moving but only maybe
an 8th of an inch or so. From the previous owner he had warned me that if you try to move a lot of snow with the wipers they can loosen. So i checked both nuts and the pass side was loose but the part below the wiper arm its self looked cracked ( the part it sits on )
Tightened nut up and still no action on the arm so I am thinking it has to do with the crack.

If you guys have had any experience with this or can point me in the right direction to a thread.

Also ill try to get a good picture of the crack tomorrow.

Over time the arms need to be lubricated or they'll seize, which is probably happening to you. You can take the arms off, then pull the plastic cover to access the motor and mechanical bits. It may be too late and you'll have to replace the hardware, a in my case. There's a write-up around here showing how to remove and lube it. Good luck!

Thanks vjaneczko,

I took the arm off and found the problem before even taking the cover off...
It was the Arm its self was stripped and no longer was holding on to the splines( not sure if that's the word I'm looking for or not)
heading to my LVD tomorrow to see if they have a new arm.
