Folks - installed new headlight assembly, looks great. However the beam height is way too high. I see the adjustment screw behind the fixture but no matter which way I turn it, the beam does not adjust. Am I doing something wrong or is there something else to it?
For that matter, I notice the same behavior on the L/R adjusting wheel on the top of the fixture. Doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks.

If you turn it they should adjust unless they are damaged.

I can't remember where mine was messed up (because i had my dad fix it) but somewhere in there, one of the gears can pop out, did you buy a new (Volvo OEM) assembly or just an aftermarket?

It's an aftermarket..,,looks like the other one adjusts. Another problem is that the rear adjuster pops off the back when the adjuster is being turned counterclockwise! Bizarre design. Was hoping to replace with original adjuster....tried removing it to no avail. Anyone know how to remove it or if it can be removed?
Got it from FCP -- OEM = $300....URO = $100.....but FCP swears by it. Oh well.

Thats why OEM is most of the time 100% better. I hate getting parts that don't fit or aren't the right specs. Kills me.
