1988 740 Wagon - starter- turn key nothing

1988 740 Wagon - starter- turn key nothing

Guys would like to ask for your help with myt 1988 740 wagon. When I turn the key, I get the dash lights and one click (as if the battery is low). After that turn the key nothing. No dash, headlights etc. nothing. Battery is good and charged. Do you think it is the starter? It's been a very good reliable vehicle and I keep the maint. up but it does have 300k+ miles...tks in advance, john
