Will a s60 shifter work in my v70t5

Will a s60 shifter work in my v70t5

I have a 2001 v70t5 that I am trying to put a 2004 s60r console in. My car has the 5 speed automatic in it and the shifter is not the same shape as the 2004 console. If I buy a 2004 s60 shifter can I just swap it out? If it will work is there programming involved?
