Adjusting the idle speed

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Adjusting the idle speed

Post by Its Broken »

Hi,

My '99 T6 idles at smoothly at 600 rpm. However when idling, the headlights, instrument panel all flicker until I hold it up to around 750 rpm with the pedal which must turn the alternator back on.

My understanding is the 600 rpm level is low and around 800rpm is correct, so what sensor/s would cause this to happen without causing fault codes to be set.

My only code set on a irregular basis is a lonesome P0013.

cheers
