Good Morning,
I have a frustrating issue with the power window on passenger side on my 2004 C70 convertible.
The problem is the window will work fine then not work at all...
This is what I have done so far to trouble shoot the problem..
1. Removed door panel and looked for any loose connections... I did clean all connections.
2. Connected a trouble light to the wire that goes to the door motor... When I depress the window switch, the trouble light comes on... from this, I was thinking electricity is going to the windown motor...
Was told to disconnect the wiring socket that goes to the door and clean all the contacts...not sure where the wiring socket is... have attached a photo... is this the socket and how do I disconnect it?
Last, could I have a bad ground somewhere?
Thanks
Power Window Issue
Good Evening,
A bit more iformation on the passember side window motor...
Today, I removed the glove compartment and door panel... With the glove compartment removed had full access to the wiring coming from the door to the body... all this looked.
After removing the large speaker could get a good look at the window motor and assembly... When I activated the switch and had my hande on the motor could feel something and heard a very minor click.
So, electricity appears to be getting that far.
Next I loosened the 4 torx bolts that ( I think) attach the electric motor to the window assembly... After the were lose, I tapped on the motor a little with a ball pin hammer... them wiggled the motor a little... after that the motor worked and the window operated. Tightened bolts and put everything back together.
While in here, cleaned all the contacts with contact clener.
Here is my question... If I remove the 4 torx bolts that connect the electric motor to window assembly... can I separate the motor from the assembly and remove for inspection and evaluation. Then put back on...
The thing I don't want to do is remove the entire window assembly... it's almost impossible (even at dealer) to get it back togetheher properly.
Thanks

Still trying to determine why my power window will not work on the passenger side.
Quick question... Is it possible to remove just the window motor for inspection without removing the entire window assembly...
