these are my relays. im working on building up a bench stock of them, as i can. i know that 103 is the famous fuel pump relay. thats about it. im not interested in the 36 or so spade relays, they are labeled. just the big ones. the bigs ones below these, on the 200 series, are all labeled so i know them.
for troubleshooting/swapping reasons, does anyone know what circuits go thru:
101/102?
104 and 108?
the 3 J's?
the 2 silver 20A rectangular fuses?
i have the 850 wiring diagram...i dont see any references to a fuse -number- only circuit paths thru fuses.

I have zillions of all of those. I've never touched a single one.

Wonderful. I may have this diagram already on my computer but i couldnt/cant find it:
1) So what are the elusive 105-106-107 relays for? Mine are labeled simply as “J’s”: not 105-106-107. What do these “overload relay” circuits go to? I’m certain 1 of them must go to my starter motor circuit…for example. If so, which one? If im on a 1000 mi trip and my starter doesn’t engage, I could have a dead starter, but I have 3 “J” relays. Any way to know which one feeds what circuits? All the others are self explanatory I got that.
2) What about the relays for which my car has –blanks-? for accessories? Like fog lights. And more. Is my car –already wired- for them? ie, I just need to add fog lights, a switch, and a relay if I see them in a junk yard?
3) lastly, what are the (2) 20 amp relays -shown missing/blank- on your diagram depicted blank at the very end of the drivers-side of the "spade relay" bank do?
Thx for all!

The overload relays are relays that power all of the lower current devices when the key is on. By lower current I mean pretty much everything except the starter motor and the fans. There is no overload relay that only deals with the starter solenoid. Each of them deal with a variety of things.
Most of the time when the starter doesn't reliably engage it is a PNP switch problem on the transmission. The colder it gets outside the worse the problem will be if it isn't dealt with.
Your '95 may or may not be pre-wired for fog lights. My '94 is not but the '96s and the '98 are. The Platinum and the XC have them already. There are a couple of unused connectors at both ends of the bumper if you are pre-wired.
If you are pre-wired you need to change the headlight relay (104/108) to a part number 9148880, add the fog light relay (201 - another J relay), and add a jumper "relay". The 213 jumper relay (9148991) is a piece of wire inside of the relay case and it is around $10.00 from the dealer. Additionally you, of course, need the lights, brackets, and the switch. lastly there are trim gaskets that go around the opening in the bumper.
