On the 850 if you follow the lines from the passenger side underneath the car from the tank toward the front you will find it. It's a say 5 inch long 3 inch diameter cylinder, probably covered in undercoating. Between the fuel filter and tank should be a valve stem to release pressure before changing filter. The v70 is much like the 850, i would guess the filter would be similar

as prevously stated in other reply. unless you have an v70awd (all wheel drive) than it is in a different spot and that also depends on the year. in early awds it is located under a cover 10 mm nuts axcessed by removing the front hatch floor carpet panel in front of the spare tire behind the second seat pass side (early awd) late awd they moved it to an easier location underneath behind the axle (awd late) in any case the fuel system maintains pressure even at rest rec caution when changing locate it before you start removeing any parts and release pressure in a safe container
