Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Post by SimLyons »

If anyone has the torque values for the nut on the front of the crank (big 30mm) and the 4 bolts holding the timing belt pulley on the hub please let me know. Thanks!!

300 Nm (221 ft lbs) for the big nut.

Small ones are 35 Nm + 50* supposedly.

My understanding is if it has a spec then angle, it's a torque to yield bolt meaning it's a one time use.

Thanks! I've ordered new bolts. I was sure replacement was (is) in order. Do you happen to have the torque value for the hub nut?

What I'm seeing suggests there should be one bolt that looks like this: http://www.ipdusa.com/products/6250/113950-axle-bolt

If so, 35 Nm then 90*.

The "upgrade" for reducing axle ping noise is this unit: http://www.ipdusa.com/products/6251/114 ... -anti-ping

Torque there is 50 Nm.

I've had one of mine out, but I can't recall if it's a nut or bolt.
