Gear shift boot? Topic is solved

I have a european specs 96 s40 that leaks oil from the point at which the gear shift assenbly enters the gearbox. The little rubber boot has torn and needs to be replaced. How do you remove the arm that goes into the gear box? Is it held in place by some sort of circlip and simply needs to be yanked out like a CV joint? Thanks!
