Over the last couple weeks it's geeting harder and harder to start after it's rains. It took most of the day to start yesteryday and when it did the RPM's would randomly spike to (2200). This car normally idles solidly at 900. I changed the cap, rotor (bosch) and wires set (bougicod) about 4 years and 48k miles ago. My last set lasted 16 years and I just changed them as P/M. Do you think these would fail this soon ?? any thoughts
Thanks

With the car idling, spray a light mist of water on the wires and check for arcs or engine stumbles. Works best in the dark. Also check the wires for resistance.
Ensure all the grounds are clean and tight.
