Have an issue with fronts wearing the far outside edge of the tires very quickly. Have had Firestone lifetime alignment and taken it in every 6 months of so. Still wearing. Moved from Dallas and nearest Firestone is over an hour away. Have not had it checked in over a year. New tires and same issue outsides are warn again.
Set it up today and only concerning issue is the Rear Camber. Listed below:
Rear Camber:
Drivers -0.2 Passenger -1.8
I am an administrator at a HS that has an auto program. We just had all new Hunter equipment installed so I have access to the alignment machine when I need it.
Hunter program says it is not adjustable. Are there options for adjusting the rear, espcically the passenger side? That seem way out like possibly something bent?
Any advice on where to start.

The book is correct, the camber isn't adjustable. The camber will change based on load. I suppose you could try to make a shim to go behind the hub but I think the hub fits pretty tight into the end of the trailing arm.
Is the ride height at the wheel well pretty close between the two sides of the car?

Lee,
Appreciate the reply.
Rear ride height is 25 1/8" on the drivers side and 25 1/4" on the passenger side. Measured to top of wheel opening lip. Could springs be weak? What is the correct stock ride height? Car has 134K, replaced bump stops last year but did not install new springs.
Does IPD or anyone make a shim for the s70. I found reference to one for the AWD models but not FWD.

The ride height is close enough that it wouldn't account for the disparity on the camber. I haven't seen a published spec on ride height so what I was looking for was the difference between left and right which isn't much.
A call to IPD couldn't hurt. The have sold lowering kits for years and years so camber issues would have come up at some point and if there is a shim kit made they would know about it.
I was following my wife's XC when it had the wrong rear shocks on it and the camber was off a bunch - as in about -5 degrees just by looking at it by eye. I put Nivomat shocks back on the rear and, at least visually, things look much better.

Lee,
Spoke with IPD and no shim kit for FWD. IPD advice is to replace bushings.
Gave me the number of a specialty alignment product company in Colorado. Called them and they do not make a rear kit for the FWD S70.
Looks like bushing replacement is the fix. I will have them look at the bushing tomorrow and see if they are worn.
