2002 V70 BASIC, CLOCK SPRING

Post by CHILAND »

I took my 2002 V70 basic to the dealer for the fuel pump recall. I asked them to diagnose a problem with the steering wheel controls, cruse control, horn, etc. that did not work. They came back with POSSIBLE problem with the clock spring. I had a independent shop tech tell that it looked like the transmission had been changed and if they turned the steering wheel it could damage the clock spring. I have found posts on changing the clock spring and it solved their problems with no mention of needing a download. I am wondering if I pick up a used one is it going to work. My rig is equipped with STC, stability traction control. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Note, VIDA mentioned a download for my year.
