2009 C70 Climate / AC issues

Post by eric4ch »

Having intermittent issue with the climate control in car. VIDA throwing off code(s) for the CCM

It was showing faulty Damper Module position . Ran the calibration and "Recirculation motor" was out of spec in the steps by a few hundred . Got a brand mew motor from volvo and replaced.. Ran VIDA to ID the unit on the LIN network, Then Calibrate.. Failed Calibrate with exact same code and then same motor steps issue. Swapped New Motor with another from different position on the heater box. Ran VIDA again .. ID, Calibrate ... same issue. Motor initially showing bad, when relocated and ID'd calibrated and worked fine . Ran the recalibration another 5 times (Battery disconnected for at least an hr in between) Finally .. it worked and didn't throw a code. Ran it again and was fine .... Reassembled the car and the code came back... Did this whole process again and still suffering from same problem

There are no mechanical issues with the damper drum, moves easily and freely. Pulled the wiring harness and checked all connections .. all fine

Swapped out the Control unit from a scrap yard... Same issue (Yes .. Calibrated and reset. )

The car blows cold for first 10 min then goes kind of wacky Giving outside air, some heat then cold again ....

Is this a software issue and requires re-flash?
