My issue today is my driver seat seems to move forward just fine, but when I go to move it back I have to push the button consistently to only see it move a fraction of an inch ( very little ). All the other functions work fine except going back. What are some possible options before I go about removing the entire seat and attempting to find the issue? I do not think its off the track as it displays no other issues while moving except going back.
Thanks in advance for any information or help!

You might try blowing out the switch. It could be some dirt in the switch in that direction. Also, you might try some electrical contact cleaner. Just a thought.

If you give it a 'bump' back with your rear end does it start to move? Mine is sticky like this sometimes.

I have tried cleaning the circuit board, nothing. It still moves back but not as much as it should. and still only an inch at a time. Any other suggestions? I might be getting a new seat but if it not, still would like a solution. thanks

I think it's the same motor which drives back and forth so that's probably either sticking or the contacts on the switch are dirty. I believe we have electrical diagrams in another thread, but basically you should be able to drive the seat back to your position then use the memory button to save it.

How are you with wiring diagrams? If you scour the web you can find them and post them here and we can walk you through the testing.
I know it sounds funny but we have a legal agreement with Volvo that mods don't host wiring diagrams, which are Volvo IP, but they are free on the web and can be posted and used as reference here by members. Sorry about that, but we do try to follow the agreement as best we can.
