2001V70T5 new HVAC sensor or control...

Getting error codes that tell me the temp sensor in the HVAC control is kaput. Cleaning will not fix this.

Can the sensor be sourced or do I get a whole new panel off ebay...they are cheap. Additionally, are they fairly interchangeable across models/years or is this like the DIM where they are specific and picky.

Thoughts?

It is basically a PNP (plug an'play) type. I have replaced the PCB on my CCM (which is manual) because I was too lazy to try fixing the failed RH side temp control potentiometer.

Sourced a complete used module for like $46 or something, and transfered the board only.
Did not have to program anything at all, except for initialization and custom settings with VIDA and it all worked fine.

... and don't forget to disconnect the battery before you tackle this one... (don't ask me how I know )
