The panel is off. Latch doesn't work from outside. How can I trip it from inside?
Thanks!

Best way is to just remove the T45 screws that hold the latch striker plate to the body. Crawl in the back end, raise the rear board, look down you have pretty good access to the two bolts (pretty sure they are T45).
Then you can open it up with the plate attached, and examine it in the light and at eye level. For the two broken ones I have dealt with, the only solution was to disassemble/remove the latch, then separate it from the striker plate. Yours may be easier than that, but when sitting comfortably on the rear deck it can be a lot easier to figure out.
