1997 s40 t4 seems to be leaning out under full boost

i have recently bought a 1997 s40 t4 5speed manual and i have noticed that if giving it a bit of a hard time and maintaining full boost it heats up really fast and starts to what feels like missfire could this be when driving normal mo issues at all. any one else had this issue? need a little help as dot want to kill my car
