Low beam work on and off

Post by Dempsy »

So I thought I had a bunch of bad bulbs but the low beam stop working months after I buy new ones and now it seams to not be the bulb because I had a low beam failure and the next morning it went away and then the next day the low beam on the other bulb went out and I'm guessing tomorrow it will work again. Both. I lbs are brand new with no signs of damage or burning out. Help!

Please make sure your posts conform to writing standards, specifically with complete sentences and punctuation.

It's likely the wiring connectors have oxidized and make poor contact with the bulb connectors. As the bulbs and connectors heat up, the resistance builds and you lose lights.

VWs are notorious for this..I have had to use a Dremel tool on all my headlight lugs to get them back to shiny metal. It takes about 1 minute per connector.

Look for dark brown metal on the connector lugs to confirm
