So I am completely stuck, I was trying to change the rear strut on my 94 850. I got the strut off but as you can see in the picture, the strut broke off, the rubber is stuck on the bolt that the strut slips on.
I made the mistake of not using wd40 before doing the job. I have now sprayed wd40 all over it, its been an hour but its still not moving.
Any suggestions on how I might get this off.
How to get this off ( rear strut rubber bushing)

@ deversm ... i also encountered the same experience as you. I used a long crowbar and it popped right off. Pry bars will do, but you need a long handle for leverage

Yeah, bottom line is you need to apply force outward, it will give up eventually but it could be tough.
If you first take a screwdriver or similar, put it on the metal sleeve and pop it good with a hammer, then that may break it loose, that could be what tryingbe is trying to be saying. Pop it with a hammer so it breaks free and is easier to pry.

AHHHHHHHHH.. I've been at it for any hour, used up all my wd40. Still not moving.
Im gonna trying hammering it. I should be hammering on the thin metal rim of the tube right?
Or actually in between the bolt and the metal tube? I don't wanna damage anything.
Baptiste, were did you stick the crowbar, there is such a small area behind the metal tube that I can't seem to get the crow bar in there.
I guess I'm just gonna have to hammer the hell out of it.

Careful though, that threaded stud has been known to break off sometimes anyway, without any hammering!
Yes I would hammer on the sleeve itself, you are trying to bust it free. A torch would be good, too. Or if you can eliminate the rubber, grab the metal sleeve in channel locks or vise grips and try to rotate it, to break it free.

You could even use a Sawzall on that as you only need the threads that are exposed to not by buggered up...thats the American usage, not the British.
