2006 xc90 engine light on code 9-0027

code is for an exhaust valve control solenoid circuit range performance bank 1....oil pressure and oil in the motor is fine, car has been running a little rich, can i drive the car, can i add something to the gas to lean the solenoid...help

No. A Solenoid is an electrical device. The job of this gadget is to advance (or retard) the exhaust camshaft. The cost for the part online is about $180.00 and if you are able should take about 45min (or less) to change.

the care has 2 solenoids from what i can find online, a front solenoid and rear solenoid, do i have to replace both? If I replace one, which is for the code p-0027 exhaust valve control solenoid circuit range performance bank 1. Also, is it safe to drive the car. All fluids are good and no other lights or messages are on. Thank you!
