Obviously the upper engine requires complete overhaul, which would cost as much as the car is worth. So assuming I'm not going to have that done, what should I do with this vehicle, scrap, part-out, sell as-is? I'm not a mechanic and the wife will not tolerate a cannibalized corpse hanging out in the driveway. What have others done in this instance? I'm in Pensacola, Florida if anyone is interested in this fine piece of non-running kit.

If the body and interior are still in good shape, put it up on Craigslist. Some handy wrench might just give you $800-1000, plus a $500 motor, and have him/herself a nice ride for under $1500 plus some sweat.

probably worth throwing it up in the classifieds here also.
I would just tell the wife that money is money and part it out and then junk the rest. But as I say this my gf is sitting next to me giving me the silent treatment for something she knows I didn't do, so... At least it's quiet in here. Maybe don't take my advice
