Hi!
Now that it's warm out... 75 degrees F
my car has a stall problem after a warm start...
If the car starts cold...(say from overnight condition)
It is absolutely fine..
If I go get the groceries...
let it sit in the parking lot for 10 minutes...
come out and start it...
it's fine for about a minute
then it stalls repeatedly until I rev it up
and then the problem goes away.
My theory, based on absolute assumption
is that it needs a new O2 sensor.
the ambient temperature is high enough for the computer to go into closed loop quick (warm start)..
but the o2 sensor is reading lean... and the engine control enriches the mixture too much..
After I blast some flames down the pipe... the O2 sensor is now hot enough
and the problem goes away.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this experience...
It's probably time to replace the O2 sensor anyway
the car has 278,000 and I have no idea as to the o2 sensors status...
any suggestions to stop me from taking a wild guess?

1999 v70 stalls after a warm start near ambient 75DegF
well first of all do you have a check engine light? if so get codes pulled if not, may I suggest looking into MAF sensor I had a similar problem on a S60.
hope it helps, good luck
