I have been fight this problem for sometime. I have read the solutions to this problem in the forums and up until now they have worked. Shifting the gear shift back and forth. Turning the key until the flashing arrow goes off. After I cycle through now the arrow will go off however the car will not turn over unless I let it sit for about 5 minutes. It seems like cleaning the PNP switch is my next step. Where is the PNP switch located? I have a 1995 960 Wagon. Will I need any special tools?

problem has been solved. Replaced the pnp switch. It was diffcult, but once you raised the the car about five feet in the air and could access the bolts and pry off the old one it went a little smoother. It was at times a two person job.
