1991 240 brake bleeding help

Post by vcowens »

ok, I've changed out the master cylinder, front two calipers, brake booster and booster valve with valve to intake hose. I've bled the system about 4 times. The brakes are hard with the engine off. Once the engine is cranked, the pedal gets really mushy. The brakes will stop the car when coasting when they are pressed all the way down. more bleeding needed? vacuum leak? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am back at it and having issues with the brakes, all calipers bled properly, but the driver front upper bleed port no fluid or very little comes out, in addition there is also very little pressure, it will stop but the pedal goes all the way to the floor, I just ordered a new MC and four new front flexible lines to replace them, other than that, any other thoughts on what it might be? I'd greatly appreciate the help, in addition, I have recently ordered a power brake bleeder hoping to make the job easier, ARES 70921-2-Liter Manual Brake Fluid Pressure Bleeder - Makes Brake Fluid Changes Quick and Easy - Easy One Person Manual Pump Operation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CP79C7S/re ... 'Driver front upper bleed port' may be full of rusty junk. You may be able to flush when you get the vacuum pump. More likely the cylinder is rusted and the caliper will need to be rebuilt or replaced. Has this car sat unused for a long time?
