G'day everyone, a small problem that I have no real idea of where to start.
I have owned several Volvos, mainly s70's and V70's, and currently have 2 cars, a xc70 Cross Country and a S70 T5 Auto, which I recently purchased for $200AU.
The problem arose as I drove the car home from Sydney to my residence in far NW NSW, about 700Klms.
The Abs Light came on, and after the usual roadside check of fluid levels, etc, continued on with my journey, with no real issues except the Abs light stayed on.
Since getting the car home I have cleaned the wheel sensors and on advise from Volvo, replaced the ABS control Module (very painful to the pocket), but that did not solve the issue.
Have been to several garages to have the car scanned, but none other these could access the ECM or BCM, and the nearest large town is 3 hours away.
So, I have bought a Autel MD802 Elite, and have scanned the car (worked a treat, and I`m charging locals $40 to scan their cars, so it should pay for itself in no time).
The results of the scan is as follows;
Trouble Codes list(13)
3-1-1
Wheel sensor signal, left front wheel circuit fault
3-2-1
Wheel sensor signal, left front wheel extrapolation counter
3-1-2
Wheel sensor signal, right front wheel circuit fault
3-2-2
Wheel sensor signal, right front wheel extrapolation counter
3-1-3
Wheel sensor signal, left rear circuit fault
3-2-3
Wheel sensor signal, left rear extrapolation counter
3-1-4
Wheel sensor signal, right rear circuit fault
3-2-4
Wheel sensor signal, right rear extrapolation counter
2-1-4
Wheel sensor signal, right rear wheel speed incorrect
1-4-1
EBD - pressure sensor signal circuit fault
1-4-4
Brake discs on front wheels overheating
1-4-3
Road speed signal circuit fault
4-4-3
Pump motor electrical or mechanical fault
Having gotten over my initial shock I bravely entered the world of Google for help, and proceeded to get totally confused. From the hours of reading I feel that a break in the cct could be a cause, but I have no idea of where to start, and in what order I should address the problem.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards, Greg.
PS: having lived in remote areas of Australia most of my life, I have a pretty fair understanding of mechanical and auto electrical issues, although the computer side of the modern car leaves me (and most of the so called "mechanics") a little confused.

Codes are probably left over from the ABS unit failure. Clear them and see what comes back and note order.
It's bad juju to charge people for scanning..

Hi again, Have tried clearing codes, however they re-appear in the order first posted.
As for Karma, point taken, however one local garage charges $135, the other $85, with no other options in town, until now. Having said that, I have successfully cleared service interval lights and MIL lights for 5 people (pensioners), all for no charge, maybe I'll reserve charging for those that can afford it, or company vehicles only. Hopefully there may still be a place in Heaven when I get there.

Something is up if the codes are repopulating exactly as they did the first time. With a faulty module you can scan and get the same set of codes you did on your first scan. When you clear them all that will come back is circuit fault codes, the ebd code and the pump motor code. . All of the extrapolation codes will go away and stay that way. I would double check your connection on the large harness and go from there. . Double check as in resecure it.

Also... Your traction and abs light should be on together. I know that's a traction module in that car because of the front disc code. . That code only pops when you get stuck in snow, etc. And the traction control is engaged for a set amount of time in a specific time span.

People who help others on MVS have space allotted in the world of no CELs by default.

Keep us up to date and good luck with that connector.

I had the ABS fault light come on several years ago on my 1998 V70. I did not have a reader to see what the fault was but wiggling the connector did make the light turn off. So I wedge some cardboard between the connector and a nearby object and the ABS light remained off. After Googling the problem, it pointed at possibly cold or broken solder joints on the board's power pins. Sure enough after removing module, prying it apart, and removing the conforma coating, I found some cracked solder joints around the connector pins. These boards were wave soldered and the heavier gauge pins did not get enough solder. After applying some fresh solder and reassembling the module, the problem was fixed.
