Can you identify this hose?

Post by Wykis »

Hey guys,

while fixing my intake manifold I damaged a hose. It was old and brittle. However, I have no idea what it's supposed to be doing (therefore I can't buy a new one because I don't even know what to look for). It connects to the intake manifold niple and the interior of the hose is lined with hardened plastic. Any help much appreciated!

I believe it's the vacuum line to power brake booster, the other end of which disappears into the area around/under the abs unit and connects to the booster diaphragm. You may need to just replace the part you can get to, that is, the section from the white plastic nipple forward.
