Hi there,
I am new to the forum so bear with me. I am looking to get an 07 V50 with 91,000 miles on it. The owner has just replaced the Oil separator and i was just curious to see if there is anything i need to be watching out for? Are there any DIY test that i can run on it during the test drive. It wasn't driven in that condition long.
Thanks for any advice!

If it has been upgraded, the hose between the oil filter assy. and the head is rubber. If it has not been upgraded, the hose will be corrugated plastic. Also, an "unfixed" clogged PCV will whistle out the oil fill.
If it was not fixed in time, the pressure might have blown oil seals on the camshaft.
Hope that helps.
