2000 Volvo V70 Transmission?

2000 Volvo V70 Transmission?

My Volvo is having some issues. When I start the vehicle and put the shifter in Drive, it will jerk into gear. On some occasions I have some trouble while driving with some jerking and the fluke transmission slip. When I checked the fluid, it was too full if anything. Should I drain some of the fluid out so that it is at the recommended level? Should I take it to the dealership and have a full service done? Or should I start pricing transmissions? I have a 2000 V70 with 139,600 miles on it. T5 engine.

I would drain out transmission fluid with new fluid at the correct level.
