Possible rotor upgrade?

Post by ChronicKing »

Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my rotors due to the fact that they are warped. The car is a 98 s70 T5(auto).

What are some possible upgrades I could put in place of my current ones? I want something that's better than OEM, but not crazy expensive and will last me a while.

Any suggestions? Thanks for reading!

I use the Bosch Quiet Cast or the zinc coated Meyle. They don't rust and even after a hard winter on salted roads, they look brand new. They also seem to stop fine and the fit was perfect. Both can be found on FCP and they are not outrageously expensive.

Both the Bosch and Meyle are great choices. I'm not a track guy, so I go for the heavy street use discs by Centric- their "Hi-Carbon" rotors also have a corrosion resistant coating. I usually pair them with Stop Tech pads. Low dust, no noise, very good stopping power even hot, and they have OEM-style shims to keep vibration and squealing down (and eliminate one more cost). I've have gone with this combination for some time over 3 bricks, easy on the wallet, too

'nothing wrong with that kit, and FCP rocks the service and warranty.

You may want to be ready to order a few more parts depending on condition of your existing components:

rear pad retaining springs and clips & caliper guide pins
