I have a 2000 Volvo S70. Right now the driver side electric seat does not work.
When I push any of the buttons I can hear a clicking sound but nothing moves.
I took the control panel out to see of there was anything to clean but nothing really there.
Put it back in and have the same clicking sound when I push any of the buttons.
So I don't think it is the motors since nothing works at all.
Could it be the control board is bad and needs to be replaced?
Have checked all the fuses and they are good.
Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks.

I've never gotten a hold of the diagrams for the passenger side power seat,
so I apologize in advance if I'm not right about this. I'm pretty sure that since
there's no memory on that side, there's no control box. Just the switches in
the side panel of the seat bottom. They're a type of snap switch, so even if
there's no power, they'll still make a clicking sound.
If none of the switches work, I'd start with checking for power at their
main connector under the seat. IIRC, it's protected by one of the circuit
breakers in the fuse box near the windshield.
EDIT - Yup. It's the CB in position 40. See the attached PDF.

S/V70 is notorious for seat switch failure, but since none of the switches are working, it could be the module under the seat.
The tread below has to do with the switch pack itself:
https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... ch#p394880
The switch packs are the same across several models, even XC90. If you have a pick-n-pull junk yard nearby it might be worth harvesting one to see if it takes care of the problem. You don't have to change out the pack, just unplug the existing one under the seat and plug in the JY one while still in the parking lot. If it doesn't fix it, take it back for a refund.

Every time we have a seat issue it has been the switch controller on the side of the seat. This covers about 12 cars starting with the 94 850. The excellent advice from dosbricks is exactly the steps I would follow.
Well I went back and checked the fuses, I forgot on that car there is another set of fuses and to get to them you have to take out about 4 screws to pull that top off. It was a bad fuse so everything is now working.
