The exhaust on my v70 seems to be hanging a bit low.
No noticeable noise yet but it's just a matter of time before it falls.
It looks like one of the retaining attachments has sheared off.
What can I do to support it?

The hanger pin welded to your rear muffler has rusted off. I removed the hanger bracket on a junkyard V70 so I could liberate a trailer hitch. The rear muffler just fell to the ground in a cloud of iron oxide. Looks like yours isn't much better. If you don't want to replace it you could remove the rubber donut from the hanger bracket and use some coat hanger wire to support it from the upper pin.
Les is more.

This is the middle bracket which surely is also about to evaporate

As above, the muffler also seems in need of vacation. If needed, don't call Volvo/Canadian Tire for a price if you happen to have high blood pressure, instead look for a used OEM one at local scrap yards. If you still feel like enjoying this, have a look at the two exhaust connection bolts between the catalyser and the front muffler. I've replaced them with stainless steel bolts and locking washer and new gasket, all from Canadian Tire.
