Part number for 850 brake booster check valve?

Post by yair »

First of all, thanks to all the contributors at MVS, and to Robert for the youtube videos, I check the website before I go to any new maintenance item, it have so much information on the 850, and helped me a lot.

We have a 1995 850 N/A sedan, and I've recently acquired a 1996 855T, that I think should be better for the family and more fun to drive.
I am doing a stage 0 and I am trying to bring the car to a reliable condition at a reasonable budget.

Currently replacing the vacuum hoses in the engine bay, most of them are original and in a bad shape.
I want to replace the booster check valve/gasket with the booster hose, (the white, L shaped valve on the booster itself).

Only saw original kit (Volvo - 271632) that goes for 45$ and up. A new ATE booster that include the check valve is ~200$ (ATE 9438036) and even as low as 160$, to me it doesn't make sense to pay ~50$ just for the valve and rubber seal. And I am trying to keep the budget tight, as I don't know what else I'll need before I'll consider the car road worthy.

I searched the web for an ate part number, but to no avail, does anyone know what it is?
Thanks, Yair

I'm a little confused on what you are asking for? You mention you need the part number for the check valve and seal, and you have what should be the correct one for -95 850T - 271632.

If you need the part number for the whole Power booster unit it is: 9140234

271632 is the Volvo p/n. I am looking for the ate p/n. Afaik this part is made by ate, but I only find the Volvo brand.
