2000 V70 NA 5 speed auto suspension question?

I know there is a thread for this year of cars (The Ba$t#RDS), but I thought this may get lost over there.

Now you learn new stuff every day, but I thought Volvo changed the front control arms to 4 bolt units from 99-00 years, but what do I know.

The 2000 V70 NA 5-speed auto 'possible project' I am looking over has the 2 bolt front control arms which surprised me totally as my 2000 R AWD has 4 bolt items?!

Car has not been in any fender-benders so is this correct? It also means there is doubt on which crank pulley engine pad it needs (dealer and I conclude it is Alternate #1 and the #2 is for 4 bolt).

Car is totally weird like the last year 97 850 NA SE I had during the summer. It has ECC (do they all from 98 on?), power driver's seat, leather, trunk spoiler, roof rails and a tow hitch. No moon roof though.

Hopefully tomorrows diagnostic on the trans only throws up the PNP switch!

My copy cat has 2 bolts, no moon roof, ECC manual seat, leather, no trunk spoiler and 3 kiddie seats!! Mine just says 2.4 with no trim spec on badges

I think the 4 bolt was only an R, XC or C70 thing as the 1998 V70R I recently sold also had the 4 bolts.

My base '99 wagon with leather and roof rails, no moonroof, also has 2 bolt lower control arms.

Well it also confused the parts guys and Volvo foreman today. Foreman has been with Volvo since 1975! He says these cars never end confusing you.

My T5 has leather, power seats on both, ECC, moonroof, 2 bolt control arms, and third seat , no,roof rails.

I'll post a new thread on this car in the next few days as it is to become my next project car. I am rather embarrassed to say I did not look that closely at the car and it was only when I turned it around to back it into the garage and got out I realised it had the 'magic' letters V70 'SE'. This was a real surprise as it is just like the 850 NA auto SE that was a last year model and lots of extra bits got thrown onto it. Also discovered the Homelink buttons today which is a nice addition. Even out 2015 Kia Sportage EX-L does not have that!

Well off to give the rear of the car a once over to see what I have got myself into again this time!

Does it have the kiddy raised window seats just like my 2000 NA? What is Homelink? I don't think we got it here in Oz?

What colour is it?

I've just been able to upload pictures to my computer as the camera battery had run out. I will post a fuller description tomorrow when I have more time.

It does not have the raised kiddie seats at the window. Homelink is the built in garage door opener which has buttons built into the drivers sun-visor. You have to program them to the door frequency but it is handy, as un-like modern cars the system switches off once the key is out of the ignition. Our new cars leave it active which has to be the stupidest idea car manufacturers have come up with along with the dash lights that come on when only the daytime lights are on (a Canada thing) so you don't know you don't have your lights on at night!

Colour is dark blue which is my next favourite colour after the laser blue of my 'R'.

I'll start a new thread with pictures and details tomorrow.
