Gas pump and overfilling

Hi, before I take the car to a shop I'd like to ask if there's something i can check. I have a 2003 S60 non turbo and when filling gas the pump would click and stop as if the tank was full (it's not). It feels as if the gases don't vent as sometimes i can see the gas returning and almost coming out of the gas filler neck.

I read some posts and think this is common with these cars. I checked a vent tube under the rear wheel by the gas fill neck but it looks okay, is there anything else i could check?
