Dash pocket 99 v70 in 98

pulled one of these out a 99 xc70 for my 98 do I have to remove the knee bolster or is there a different one for the ones with the bins ?

I just recently did this upgrade on my 98 V70 as well. The knee bolster must be removed. There is discussion of this knee bolster and its value as a safety feature elsewhere in the forum.
