Hey all I have a 1996 850T that sat all winter and now wont start. I hook it up to my Sprinter to jump it and the hazard lights flash and the alarm wont shut off. I have tried unlocking and locking the driver door passenger door back hatch door. Unhooking the battery locking and unlocking, then hooking it up again. and the lights just keep flashing and the key turns and Zer0! Ugh is there a fool proof way to reset the alarm system? there is a Safety Guard sticker on both windows.
Thanks,
Troy

With the alarm going on, I think you need to use your key to lock and unlock the door to disarm.

You can put a jumper wire around the immobilizer relay but it is a minor PITA to get to the relay since it is wedged up on the firewall, inside, under the fuse box.

it is relay 210/211 and on the 210 side you need to put the wire in the socket positions associated with pins 50E and 50F on the relay.

Your chances of success in resetting the immobilizer with the key greatly increase if you can get the battery charged with a battery charger beofre you hook it up.
