2004 v70 2.5t pulls right when accelerating

Car has 119k and pulls to the right under acceleration. . Ball joints and tie rods feel tight when jacked up. Last time the volvo shop had it they told me it needed lower motor mounts. Could this be causing the problem? If not any other suggestions? I included a pic of the car. Thanks

Thrust vector is not zero (bad rear axle toe-in). Have alignment checked.

One more detail is that I just installed new tires and the problem is definitely more pronounced with the new tires. It also drives alot better in general. Have had it aligned within last 20k

Mine was the control arm, it was ripped so I changed it regardless but it seemed to help a lot,
as did checking the rear wheels air pressure.

At 120k you have the lower torque mount (the small one right at the bottom from of the engine) as well as the upper torque mount that go bad. Check both of them. The lower one I think it's harder to replace.

I would then look into tire pressure, then control arms as mentioned above. An alignment wouldn't hurt but not sure that would cause pulling only under acceleration.

I had a 02 V70 FWD with everything new under the hood, in suspension, in steering (well, besides all the bushings in rear end). It pulled right and only under hard acceleration. No one moron at alignment shops paid attention to what thrust vector is set to, so I ended up learning how all this stuff works and fixed the problem myself, i.e. set rear toe-in correctly. All they do in shops in MA is front toe.

When you accelerate, both front wheels are trying to thrust forward. But since they are anchored to the chassis via the control arms, that thrust translates to an arcing motion forward and inward. If the control arm bushings are sloppy you will get more toe-in when accelerating, and toe-out when applying the brakes. So if the LH CA is more worn than the RH, the car will pull to the right when accelerating.

I have a left control arm waiting to be installed, car does pull slightly to the right.

Car is wondering a lot if LCA has torn bushings, it changes direction unpredictably every time it hits even small road imperfection. You'll be fighting with steering wheel at highways speeds if the bushings went bad, this will be your primary concern.

Hey ya'all.... let's not forget the sub-frame bushings. These will allow the same thing to happen and are VERY overlooked in this type of issue. If the LCAs are important... so are the things that the LCAs mount to! Check your sub-frame bushings too!

I found my right side ones had been turned to goo by a leaky PS fluid. I replaced them and now the car pulls slightly to the other side as someone did an alignment while they were gooey!
