Hello everyone!
I need some help diagnosing.
Our way back from from our trip, we ran into a studdering at Wide open throttle.
Anyone have a couple ideas?
I would add a video to show my predicament, but to no avail.
WOT studdering (?)

The usual suspects are degrading rubber hoses (vacuum/pressure) and there are a lot of them.
At least it is a 98 so no ETM to worry about.
When were the plugs/distributor cap/rotor/plug wires last replaced? What brands were used if you recall??
If you are handy, remove the distributor cap and check there is no oil inside there (I.e. a blown cam rear seal).
Check the intercooler pipes from the turbo to the intercooler and then the intercooler to the engine for splits or being loose.
When was the PCV system last serviced? If you do not know, carefully remove the oil filler cap on the engine, and place a rubber/latex glove over the hole, and have someone start the car. Look for the glove inflating. If it is sucked down then all is good. Slight inflation is ok for now. Inflation is an issue which can cause oil seals to blow out. If you get no glove inflation at tick-over, raise the revs and see if the glove inflates.
This will help us to start narrowing down the possible issues and hopefully these will be minor.
Neil.
